• Communion by Joy Trunk Show!!

Nine Roses is happy to announce that we will be hosting a trunk show for Communion by Joy!  I wanted to share a little bit about her with you.
Sharing an essence of feminine elegance and bohemian flair, intentions of power and strength are portrayed through Communion; A brand inspired by the definition of the word.
-Communion - noun. The act of sharing one's thoughts and emotions with another or others; intimate converse-
After dabbling with her love of art over the years, Joy Smith, the owner and designer of Communion heard jewelry design calling her name. While working at an art gallery Joy realized she wanted to become an artist and take her artistic ability by the horns. Joy began taking wax carving classes at night and became infatuated. The ability to create and design anything gave a sense of empowerment to Joy. The love for creation and design was born.
Drawing inspiration mostly from nature, Joy recreates those feelings through her own translation. By giving attention to the life around me, I inspire my designs and inspiration follows. Having an affinity for ritual and symbolism, Joy communes with the spirit in nature, animals, and people. “I love to make jewelry that carries an energy of inner-strength and contains the power from the design or the stones I set into them.”
The wearer of Communion jewelry has a strong sense of self and emulates that through their style.
“The Communion woman is a lover and collector of jewelry, who connects emotionally to the pieces they buy.”
Integrating meditation in her design process, Joy becomes a creative vessel and forms her pieces from ethically sourced gold. Slightly one-of-a-kind and always unique.
In a fun interview, we get a glimpse into just how much fun Joy is!
